Here are a few important updates:
1 - Holdover: At the end of the day, holdover will start meeting in Ms. Candace's ART ROOM. Please send students there at the end of second bell. (Please do not send your children to holdover if you work in the BES building. We have aprox. 28 students in holdover that we are transporting to the secondary campus, and adding additional students is not a possibility at this time.)
2 - Astra: Erin's replacement for ASTRA counseling services has had to change. At the moment, we do not have anyone to see the students that were working with her. As news is shared with me from ASTRA, I will pass it along.
3 - Conferences: Parent/teacher conferences are on 2/6 from 3-5:30 PM. All certified staff should be here and should be attending conferences. If you are not a homeroom teacher, please make sure to schedule conferences with families to celebrate students or discuss behaviors of concern — or connect with a homeroom teacher to join in a conference or two to meet with parents. We will have a COFFEE truck here for the night, too. It will be here to sell hot and iced coffees and cocoas from 2-6 PM. It will be parked out back somewhere in the large parking lot.
4 - Survey: Certified staff should have received a survey today in their IC inbox. This survey asks about the subject/grade you may want to teach next year. Please complete the survey before the end of February. Once the school receives our staffing allocation in March, we will use the results of this survey (along with our allocations) to match staff desires with available teaching jobs/roles.
5 - Support: As a reminder, If you need support with a student, please do not call Mrs. Peake's personal cell phone. Use the color-change chart to input student data, and Karie and Mark will respond. If an immediate response is needed, call the office at x8801. Melissa and Jill will radio someone (Karie, myself, Brittany, or Michelle) to respond.
Thanks for all you do.
Josh
