Spring Updates

 

Greetings!

I hope you have had a restful break. I am excited for everyone to return and to have a great rest of the year. To help us prepare, here are a few things:

1 – On Monday, April 8, we will dismiss at 1 PM for the solar eclipse. Listen for car-rider and first run busses to dismiss at 1:00 PM. You do not need to work your full contract hours and may leave school at 2 PM. We will not operate on any special or shortened schedule this day. Any after school events or meetings must be cancelled or cannot start until after 3:30 PM.

2 – Remember important KSA dates were shared by Tabitha in February and are here on the blog (posted in February on 2/6/24). We cannot take field trips during testing or make-up days. Also, I cannot approve personal days during the KSA window. If you have any questions, let me know.

3 – Awards Night is April 18 at 6 PM. If you can attend, please let me know. We would love third and fourth grade teachers especially to place medals around the necks of their former students. The event starts at 6 PM and should not take more than one hour.

4 – Fifth Grade Dance is May 10 from 6-8 PM. Ticket sales start end of April. (More info. to come soon, fifth grade teachers!) If you would like to chaperone, please let me know.

5 – Classified evaluations are being scheduled. Please make sure to check your email inboxes, classified staff, for days and times. Certified staff: make sure all your PD hours are 100% up to date in your toolboxes, and you are completing your PGP. Michelle, Brittany, or I will schedule time to go over your final toolbox review between now and May 15.

6 – I cannot approve any more absences on May 2 or 3.

7 – Lastly, certified homeroom teachers, please work with your team this month to compile a supply list for your grade level. For language translation purposes, we are hoping to have one, all inclusive list for each grade. (Keep in mind that FRC has TONS of school supplies still left from this year if you need something, like a classroom set of scissors or rulers, for example.) Thank you for all you do. We only have 59 calendar days until our closing day together. Whew! This year has flown by, but it has also been awesome. I hope you know how much I sincerely appreciate all of you.
