ALL:
- We will have an NTI day tomorrow, 1-7-2025. No certified/instructional staff are required to report to campus tomorrow, but all need to be able to support students remotely. All staff is welcome to come into school if they wish.
- School age and staff childcare will be open tomorrow.
- Maintenance will likely report at their regular time. Housekeeping can report when it is safe for them. School Leadership, Supervisors, and Executive Staff need to report and will be available to support families and staff.
- Transportation staff can report when it is safe for them. Food Service staff can report when it is safe for them. Secretaries and other support staff can report in person if it is safe for them or remote work can be arranged if appropriate.
- BCS will send a message out to families by 3pm today.
HOMEROOM TEACHERS:
- ALL homerooms should have one Google Meet and invite all students to a Morning Meeting at 10 AM. Teachers should touch base with students, let them know how help can be accessed for any remote work, and go over any assignments for the day.
- I know not all students will have Chromebooks at home (and that second grade may have sent paper work home). However, please still have the one Meet and be available for questions from parents and students during normal school hours.
- Reasonable work expectations for the day include:
- 2nd and 3rd grade: 20ish minutes of reading and 20ish minutes of math
- 4th grade: 20ish minutes of reading, 20ish minutes of math, and 20ish minutes of science or SS
- 5th grade: 20ish minutes of reading, 20ish minutes of math, 20ish minutes of writing, and 20ish minutes of SS
RELATED ARTS TEACHERS:
- Please join one homeroom for their Morning Meeting Google Meet with a teacher of your choosing and then complete any PLC work.
- Supporting Yvette with the musical (program design, poster design, etc) or Cathy with book fair prep. could also be something to do.
INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANTS:

SPECIAL EDUCATION STAFF:
Please work on the following:
- Calling/ Video meetings (individual or group, if resource classes) to check, provide help or feedback, etc.
- Call parents and give a general update on how students are doing in relation to class and their IEP goals.
- Work on upcoming IEPs that are due.
- Ensure progress monitoring data and IEP progress report information are up to date in Infinite Campus and that that information has been sent to families.
- Those who did not do the MS and HS AI training on 1/6 can watch the CKEC "AI in the classroom" training. The recording can be found HERE.
All staff can also update their toolboxes with any completed PD hours AND reflections. Online PD is also available at the CKEC website if anyone still needs hours.
