Hello Everyone,

I received your emails from Dr. Clark relating to a community request.  My son does a yearly event for veterans and their spouses in Nelson County for Christmas.  He gets donations to give each of them gifts for the holidays in appreciation to their service and support of the Country.  This project is supported by members of the VFW, American Legion and Veterans Overseas Deployment non-profits.

Currently, Nelson County High school helps with the producing of Christmas Cards / Support Cards given to these individuals.  James' goal is to have more schools help with producing these cards to show more support.

The distribution date of the event is December 2nd. There are projected to be over 100 veterans and spouses to support.

Disrorderly Conduct

IMPORTANT: When entering a behavior in IC Behavior, please do not use DISORDERLY CONDUCT unless a police officer has been an involved and charges are being pressed. Please use FIGHTING or DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOR. Disorderly conduct is a legal charge and will show up on our state behavior reports.

School Lunch Week

 

BCS is celebrating National Lunch week October 16^th - 20^th

On October 20, 2023, students may dress down in a t-shirt/sweatshirt related to the theme (comic book, gaming, super hero). Examples might be Avengers t-shirts, Pokemon tops, or Mine-craft sweatshirts, to offer a few ideas.

Halloween Classroom Celebrations

 Good morning!

As a school, we will celebrate Halloween on 10/27 this year. Please see the message below that will go out to families later this week!

As we prepare for a wonderful fall break, I wanted to reach out to let you know that we at BES and BPS will celebrate Halloween on Friday, October 27 this year. On this date, students will be allowed to wear their Halloween costume to school. The costume should be school appropriate and not too scary. To keep everyone safe, we ask that students refrain from wearing masks or bringing toy weapons of any sort to our school as part of this dress up day, too.

Individual teachers will be in touch with more details on classroom parties. Until then, have a safe and wonderful fall break! Thank you for a great start to our school year!

Fall Festival Communication - 

 

Baskets

The PTO is willing to make the baskets, if needed.  If the teachers decide they would like to make the basket, we ask that they write out a list of all the items in the basket, please.  

 

Games/Prizes

We are asking that all requests for supplies needed for games and prizes please be turned into the PTO by Monday, 9/25/23, if possible.  The PTO would like to order these items next week to allow ample shipping time. 

 

Meeting Dates

The PTO has set two dates over fall break that we will meet to make baskets, games, signs, decorations, etc.
