Testing Accountability Chart

With the pending release of test scores and school report cards at 10 PM on 10/31/23, I would like to go over the very confusing accountability model so you understand our results.

Anyone interested in seeing it, we will meet after school Monday, October 30, at 2:45 PM. Location to be determined. :)

In the meantime, please feel free to reference this handout, which we will review at that meeting.

See Something, Say Something

As part of our See Something, Say Something program, sponsored by FRC, we have installed mailboxes in third, fourth, and fifth grade pods. Please make students aware that they are there and they can put any notes in the boxes, whether they are on official forms or not.

Thanks for all you do! Here's to a great Friday!

  1. Please make sure you take time on Monday, October 16, to review routines and procedures. This would include for your classroom, the lunchroom, end of day dismissal, etc. Please note: It is the expectation that every teacher walks her or his class to their related arts classroom door. The clipboard with student info. on it should be handed from classroom teacher to related arts teacher. At the end of the class, the related arts teacher will hand the clipboard back to the classroom teacher when s/he picks up students.
  2. Fall festival baskets are due Wednesday. Please email PTO if you think you need help putting it together or if you need something to put items in. (bpsbespto@gmail.com)

  9. Aida Diaz has been promoted and will be taking on a new role in our district! She will be our English Language Program Assistant. She will be working out of BES while Eva Diaz works on the secondary campus. Aida will still be working with Ms. Harris until a new instructional assistant can be found to fill her shoes there. We anticipate Aida taking her new role around 11/1. Please tell her CONGRATULATIONS!
  10. We have STEAM night on November 2 from 4-7 PM. Our math ILT and science leads have done a PHENOMENAL job. Michelle Spalding sent an email out about this event previously. Please make sure to publicize this event with students and families. It is a Title I Family Night.
  11. On November 6, we have a GOLD DAY. Everyone is expected to work that day, including ALL assistants. A schedule for certified staff will be posted on the BES Tiger News blog soon!
